Representation of Ukraine in a dispute with the European Union concerning timber export restrictions. This was the first dispute under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and only the second case in EU history to be resolved through ad hoc arbitration under a bilateral interstate trade agreement. The Arbitration Panel upheld the legality of the permanent export ban on timber and sawn wood of valuable and rare tree species and supported Ukraine’s position that trade may be restricted for the protection of natural resources under the conditions provided for by international law.

Representation of a state-owned enterprise in an international arbitration before the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC) involving a non-performance of a supply contract with a U.S. company. The arbitral tribunal awarded the client more than EUR 18 million, interest, and 85% of its arbitration and legal costs. The U.S. company's counterclaim was dismissed entirely.

"Promedol" was ruled by the Supreme Court to be an international non-proprietary name (INN) of a medicinal product and therefore cannot form the basis for a trademark, as it would cause monopolization and unfair competition in the market. An official publication of the invalidation of the Ukrainian manufacturer's certificates for the "Promedol-ZN" and "Promedol" trademarks was ordered by the Court.

Within the donor-funded infrastructure projects of the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV), a regulatory and tax framework for their implementation was developed and the projects were registered as International Technical Assistance projects. Application of the ITA regime made it possible to preserve tax incentives, including VAT exemption, and to ensure uninterrupted funding and project execution with a foreign donor.
