Karine Altunian is a specialist in trade investigations in Ukraine, with a strong focus on anti-dumping and safeguard measures.
As one of the key technical experts within a leading international trade practice in Ukraine, Karine has supported domestic manufacturers in 15+ trade investigations, providing end-to-end analytical support and preparing essential components of the evidentiary base.
Karine contributes to the development of client defense strategies, including communication with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade. Her work includes conducting in-depth economic and market research, analyzing producers’ documentation, and preparing analytical materials to substantiate client positions in trade investigations. She is responsible for gathering and structuring evidence for complaints, claims, and procedural submissions.
Karine has practical experience assisting both Ukrainian and foreign companies, as well as industry associations, across sectors such as cement, construction materials, agriculture, metallurgy, and mechanical engineering. She has taken part in some of the most high-profile and precedent-setting trade investigations in Ukraine, including the first anti-circumvention investigation of anti-dumping duties in Ukraine’s history, the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duties, and the early termination of anti-dumping investigations.
