Experience

Kateryna Solodovnyk specializes in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution. She represents leading Ukrainian companies, state-owned enterprises, and global corporations in arbitration proceedings in accordance with the arbitration rules of ICC, CAS, ICAC, VIAC, etc. Kateryna also has experience in matters related to the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in Ukraine.

 

Kateryna has extensive experience in handling sports-related disputes at both the national and international levels. She represents Ukrainian sports federations, clubs, and athletes in disputes arising from breaches of regulatory obligations. She also advises sports federations and athletes on matters related to sponsorship and advertising agreements, as well as on the protection of national sports federations’ rights and interests under the rules and regulations of international sports federations

 

Kateryna contributed to the development of statutory documents and regulations governing the operation of the Sports Arbitration Court at the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. Kateryna was part of the legal team representing the Ukrainian Fencing Federation in high-profile proceedings before the CAS on challenging the decisions of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials to compete as neutral participants. She also acted as a national counsel in related litigations before the Swiss courts.

 

Kateryna has experience representing clients before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), particularly in cases concerning damages caused by Russia’s armed aggression, violations of the right to a fair trial, and the right to property.
