Valeriia Gudiy Elected to EBA HR Committee Board for 2026

News date: 25 February 2026

Valeriia Gudiy, Partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, has been re-elected to the European Business Association (EBA) Human Resources Committee Board for 2026.

Valeriia has been a member of the Committee Board since 2024. During this time, she has been actively involved in expert work in the field of labor law, in particular in developing proposals for harmonising Ukrainian legislation with EU regulations, as well as preparing practical recommendations for businesses on employment matters and compliance requirements.

In 2026, Valeriia Gudiy will continue her work within the EBA HR Committee, focusing on the further adaptation of Ukraine’s labor legislation to European Union standards and supporting member companies amid regulatory changes. Particular attention will be paid to proper HR management, internal corporate policies, and the integration of compliance procedures into the HR function.

For businesses today, it is crucial to act proactively – not to wait until legislative provisions formally enter into force, but to start aligning internal processes with new standards already now. Within the Committee, we are working to ensure that the employers’ position is heard and that legislative amendments take into account proposals aimed at maintaining a balance of interests of all parties to labor relations,” Valeriia Gudiy said.

Established in 1999, the European Business Association provides a forum for members to discuss and solve common problems affecting business in Ukraine. This initiative was initially supported by the European Commission and has grown to become one of the largest and most influential business communities in the country.
