Vadym Kizlenko, attorney at law at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, delivered a speech at the Restructuring and Bankruptcy Forum, held in Kyiv on April 27, 2016. The event was organized by the Yurydychna Praktyka Publishing House.
In his report “Individuals’ foreign currency debt restructuring” Vadym Kizlenko outlined proposals for a mandatory legislative regulation of the individuals’ credit debt restructuring and bankruptcy procedures.
Forum’s participants discussed topical issues of self-governance of the insolvency officers’ profession, financing of bankruptcy proceedings, as well as certain aspects of the debt restructuring/rehabillitation of debtors, legal support of bankruptcy procedures, problems of application of countermeasures against fraudulent bankrupts, and perspectives of individuals’ bankruptcy in Ukraine.
Restructuring and Bankruptcy Forum is a platform between the public regulator, insolvency officers, representatives of international associations, partners of leading law firms and in-house counsels in order to review the main trends and discuss the most topical issues of the practice.
