Ilyashev & Partners Contributed as International Trade Experts to a Survey of Ukraine’s Trade and Economic Relations with the EU Within the Framework of the Association Agreement

Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm engaged into the process of preparing a one-of-the-kind survey entitled “Strategic landmarks for intensifying Ukraine’s trade and economic relations with the EU countries in the context of the Association Agreement”. Presentation of the survey deliverables took place on 20 May 2021 in Kyiv.

The survey, dedicated to the fifth anniversary of coming into effect by the economic part of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU (2016-2020), was conducted by the State Research Institute of Informatization and Economic Modelling  and CMD-Ukraine Market Economy Development Center civilian organization, supported by the Confederation of Danish Industry within the framework of the Agreement between the Confederation of Danish Industry and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine for the purpose of developing cooperation as regards the private sector role.

Ilyashev & Partners took part in the survey as a sole legal expert on international trade.

The survey consists of the four chapters: development of foreign trade relations between Ukraine and the EU under conditions of liberalized access to markets of the appropriate parties, standpoint of the national manufacturers and experts, potential for trade activation and boosting the efficiency of trade and economic relations and optimization of trade regime between Ukraine and the EU. In this survey, experts of Ilyashev & Partners highlighted relevant issues of the European markets’ accessibility for Ukrainian products.
