The law firm is extensively involved in numerous projects associated with operations of the company’s Ukrainian enterprises. Specifically, in the case concerning the validity of the share purchase agreement for a 40.19% participation share in Ferrexpo Poltava Mining, the attorneys of Ilyashev & Partners have been representing the interests of Ferrexpo AG (Switzerland) and Ferrexpo Poltava Mining since 2020.
On April 19, the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court concluded the long-standing legal dispute by considering the cassation appeal filed by Ferrexpo AG (Switzerland) and cancelling the Judgment of the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal, which aimed to reclaim the stake in Ferrexpo Poltava Mining for the benefit of four former shareholders. As a result, the Supreme Court affirmed Ferrexpo AG (Switzerland)’s legitimate ownership of the 40.19% participation share in Ferrexpo Poltava Mining.
The decision reached by the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court in this case is fair, objective, and compliant with the principles of the rule of law, further demonstrating Ukraine’s commitment to upholding these principles and safeguarding foreign investments.
