Oleksandr Fefelov, partner, the head of antitrust and competition law practice at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm moderated parallel section “Competitive Challenges of Sectoral Markets” at the V Ukrainian Antitrust Forum held on May 30 in Kyiv.
“Every year the number of complaints filed in the field of public procurement increases by more than a thousand”, – said Oleksandr Fefelov. – After the expiration of three years of work under the new rules it has become obvious that the system of appeal must be changed. And it is better to be done sooner, rather than later, by introducing the necessary amendments to the legislation, in particular the Law On Public Procurement”.
The participants of the forum discussed the challenges of participation in public procurements procedures, prospects, achievements and problems of ProZorro system, as well as the Antimonopoly Committee’s existing precedents in the sphere of challenging the results of public procurement procedures.
The V Ukrainian Antitrust Forum was organized by the Yurydychna Praktyka media outlet. The forum was attended by representatives of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the Competition Development Foundation, representatives of judicial authorities, members of Ukrainian and international business associations, partners of the leading law firms, top managers and legal advisers of numerous.
