Nina Bets, a tax lawyer at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, has held tax seminars in Dnipro and Odesa “Topical issues of physical persons entrepreneurs and on what they have to pay attention for?”. The seminars were organized by SME Hub, an educational platform for entrepreneurs, which was launched by Unlimit Ukraine – mutual project of the European Business Association (EBA) and Raiffeisen Bank Aval.
The event was aimed at helping listeners to understand the taxation of individual entrepreneurs and highlighting the novelties introduced by the Tax Code. Nina Bets described the recent legislative developments related to common tax payers and explained what violations may result in deprivation of the right to apply the common tax, as well as in application of sanctions on the part of inspectorate in charge of labor matters and tax authorities.
“The controlling bodies are changing their policies: it is no longer the big business which must beware of the tax audits, but the small one, – Nina Bets emphasized. – The two-year moratorium on tax audits of individual entrepreneurs announced by the President of Ukraine will only address the issues of using the cash registers and will not apply to the entrepreneurs carrying out the high-margin economic activities”.
The seminars were attended by more than 150 entrepreneurs.
