Upon an initiative of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm within the annual ceremony “Legal Awards”, organized by Yurydychna Praktyka Publishing House, a special prize was established – “Maksym Kopeychykov Prize”. The editor-in-chief of the publishing house Rustam Kolesnik announced establishment of the prize during the tenth anniversary ceremony of awarding the best Ukrainian lawyers “Legal Awards 2016”.
“Maksym Kopeychykov Prize” will be annually granted to the best law firm of the year in taxation. The winner will be selected by a jury on the basis of the questionnaires submitted by participants.
“Maksym was one of the leading Ukrainian lawyers and we will do our best to ensure that his name is remembered forever in the history of Ukrainian jurisprudence”, – Managing partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, Mikhail Ilyashev, stated.
Maksym Kopeychykov, Partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, was one of the leading Ukrainian lawyers in the sphere of taxation. From 2001 till 2016 he headed the tax practice of the firm and, according to the results of an independent research of international directories Tax Directors Handbook and The Legal 500 – EMEA, was recommended as one of the leading tax layers. Maksym Kopeychykov prematurely died on May 08, 2016.
