On April 7, 2011, Maksym Kopeychykov, Attorney at Law, Partner of Ilyashev & Partners, took part in the seminar on the prospects for land reform in Ukraine, organized by the Ukrainian Government in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The seminar was devoted to the discussion of possibilities of adopting international experience of land reform. The foreign experts, who reported on the experience of Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America in this field, were invited to participate in the seminar. Maksym Kopeychykov joined the discussion and expressed his viewpoint on the possible risks of borrowing foreign experience during the land reform in Ukraine.
The seminar was attended by the representatives of relevant ministries and institutions, specialized committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representatives of foreign diplomatic corps, non-governmental organizations and scholars.
The Ukrainian Government in cooperation with the OECD implements the project “Ukraine Sector Competitiveness Strategy” aimed at strengthening economic competitiveness of our country and improvement of investment climate in Ukraine.
