Leonid Gilevich, Counsel at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, delivered a report within the framework of the Ukrainian-Estonian business forum that took place in Kyiv on October 13, 2021.
The event was held by Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia, Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia.
New opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and Estonian businesses during global changes were the main issue of the forum in 2021. In his overview of the prospects and priority areas of Ukrainian-Estonian economic cooperation, Leonid Gilevich spoke about the changes in the business climate in Ukraine and the modernization of legislation, in particular: the legalization of virtual assets, opening of the land market, law enforcement reform, harmonization of national legislation with EU law and additional preferences for investors.
Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Margus Ilmjärv, Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vasil Zadvorniy, Head of Prozorro and other representatives of business circles of both countries were among forum speakers.
