Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm joined the Global Generosity Movement #Giving Tuesday and donated UAH 25,000 for the development of a fetal station in the Kiev Regional Perinatal Center. The funds were donated to the 280 Days Charity Fund, which helps with the purchase of the necessary diagnostic equipment for perinatal centers in Ukraine.
Fetal monitors allow you to listen to the baby’s heartbeat and help doctors identify complications and respond to them in time. Using this equipment can save the health and even the life of the child, and sometimes the mother’s.
The idea of the #Giving Tuesday charity movement originated in the USA in 2012. Every year, on the last Tuesday of November, millions of people in more than 150 countries of the world organize campaigns for charitable organizations. Ukraine joined the movement #Giving Tuesday in 2018 and is organizing an all-Ukrainian day of good deeds called “Generous Tuesday”.
On this day anyone, business corporation or non-profit organization can become part of the #GivingTuesday charity movement. In 2020, #GivingTuesday raised nearly $ 2.5 billion worldwide.
