Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, which is representing the interests of Module-Ukraine LLC and Heavy Metal LLC, initiated an anti-dumping investigation into the imports to Ukraine of prepainted galvanized steel coils from the People’s Republic of China.
Further to the review of the complaint of the Ukrainian producers, which was prepared by the international trade practice team of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm headed by the Partner Olena Omelchenko, on 14 December 2020 the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade initiated an anti-dumping investigation into imports from the PRC of goods of the following description: flat carbon steel coils, laminated, covered with a zinc or other coating, classified under the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity (UCGFEA) codes 721070, 721090 and 721240.
This anti-dumping investigation is one of the most extensive in the history of the introduction of measures in Ukraine – both in terms of volume of imports of the goods to Ukraine and the number of the parties concerned, including importers and Chinese producers. More than 50 entities have been registered as an interested party in the anti-dumping investigation.
Subject to the results of the 12-month anti-dumping investigation Ukraine may impose an anti-dumping duty on imports to its territory of prepainted galvanized steel coils originating in the PRC.
