Galyna Melnyk, lawyer at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, on February 1, 2017, held a seminar for the deputies of Kiev City Council on how to fill in their anticorruption e-declarations.
In the framework of the seminar, Galyna responded to the most popular questions regarding the new form of electronic declaration, e-declaration system maintenance, data exchange between the public institutions and liability for the consistency of revenues information. In addition, the discussion included the aspects of public officials’ liability for revenues inconsistency with the declared property.
Please note that on September 1, 2016, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention made a decision on launching the e-declarations for public and local officials. The second wave of e-declaration will be completed on April 1, 2017. The declarations should be submitted by those officials who under the Law of Ukraine “On Corruption Prevention” occupy the responsible and critical positions, as well as those who for the purposes of this Law are authorized to perform the functions of public and local officials, namely: public officials, deputies of local councils, heads of public, utility companies, facilities or organizations, deputies thereto, chiefs of company departments, auditors, notary officers and private executors, representatives of non-governmental associations, academic institutions, schools etc.
