Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm won the award of the XIV National Marine Rating of Ukraine, endorsed by the Ports of Ukraine — one of the highest-reputed industry publishers. The awards ceremony took place on 21 May 2021 in Odesa.
Ilyashev & Partners became one of the four Ukraine’s law firms that made the largest contribution to development of Ukraine’s marine industry during the year 2020.
The victory in Business Protection nomination was awarded to Ilyashev & Partners for successful representation of the clients’ interests — including large companies, vessel owners and insurance associations — in cases, related to the marine and transportation laws, marine navigation, insurance and infrastructure.
The firm endeavoured such projects, as release of an Egyptian owner’s vessel, detained by the customs in Berdiansk marine port with record-setting cargo volume attached, defence of interests of the shipowner of the New Challenge bulk carrier as related to contamination of the harbor waters of Mykolayiv seaport, vessel release against the undertaking of a British P&I Club for the first time in Ukraine and defence of interests of stowage and shipping navigation companies in the notorious cases against the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority and the Ukrainian Railways.
The ranks of the National Marine Rating of Ukraine were assigned by the Organization Committee and 70 industry experts following the realistic business indicators.
The National Marine Rating of Ukraine, endorsed by the Ports of Ukraine publishing house is the most authoritative marine award that distinguishes the achievements of representatives of the national port and water transportation industries. The event takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and a variety of industry-specific associations.
