Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, which represents interests of PlasmaTek LLC, initiated an antidumping investigation regarding import to Ukraine of wires originating from the People’s Republic of China.
Following the deliverables of reviewing the complaint of a Ukrainian manufacturer, prepared by the International Trade Practice under supervision of Partner Olena Omelchenko, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade initiated an antidumping investigation on 28 April 2021 regarding import to Ukraine of the goods from the People’s Republic of China, which feature the following description: wires of manganese-silicon steel, which are classified under the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity (UCGFEA) code 7229 20 00 00.
Following the deliverables of the anti-dumping investigation in question, an antidumping duty may be imposed on import of wires from the People’s Republic of China for the purpose of establishing fair competition and protecting Ukrainian manufacturers from dumping imports. The anti-dumping investigation may last for as long as 12 months.
PlasmaTek LLC is one of Ukraine’s largest manufacturers of welding materials and semi-finished products for manufacturing welding electrodes.
