Andrii Konoplia, the Counsel, Attorney at Law and Insolvency Receiver of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, was elected to the newly formed Insolvency Receivers Council of Kyiv City. The election of Andrii Konoplia to the Council took place at the Constituent Congress of Insolvency Receivers of Kyiv City on 7 February 2020. The Congress was attended by 107 insolvency receivers.
The Insolvency Receivers Council of Kyiv City is a body of the Association of Insolvency Receivers of Ukraine, representing 271 insolvency receivers working in the capital. It consists of seven members and is elected by the regional congress every two years. For the first time the election of Council members took place in accordance with the requirements of the new Bankruptcy Procedures Code of Ukraine, which came into force on 21 October 2019.
“I am grateful to my colleagues for their trust. I will strive to prove my dedication by my deeds and to contribute in every possible way to the development and prestige of the profession of insolvency receiver”, – commented Andrii Konoplia on his appointment.
Pursuant to the Charter of the National Association of Insolvency Receivers of Ukraine, the representatives of regional Councils will participate in inspections of insolvency receivers conducted by the territorial division of the state bankruptcy authority, will organize the training and professional development of their colleagues, etc.
Andrii Konoplia has been working at Kyiv office of Ilyashev & Partners since 2010. His expertise includes Insolvency and Financial Restructuring, Banking and Finance, Privatization and Dispute Resolution. He has extensive experience in initiating and handling insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings at all stages, as well as representation of clients in courts. Andrii Konoplia is recommended in Insolvency by the international ratings IFLR 1000 – 2020 and Best Lawyers International 2020, the national survey Ukrainian Law Firms 2017-2019, and is a two-time finalist of the Ukrainian Legal Awards as the Best Lawyer in Insolvency.
