Experience

Sergiy Kliestov has over ten years’ experience in bankruptcy, debt restructuring, and complex commercial disputes. His practice encompasses the full range of insolvency issues, including representing creditors, debtors, receivers, investors, and banks in court and out of court.

Sergiy represents borrowers and creditors in commercial courts in all instances, especially in bankruptcy cases involving large companies and financial institutions. He has advised national and international companies in the banking, energy, metallurgical, and logistics sectors on matters relating to creditors’ rights defense, debt collection, challenging debtors and insolvency receivers’ actions, and collateral sales.

He has deep expertise in disputes related to bank insolvency and liquidation, particularly cases involving the Deposit Guarantee Fund. Sergiy assists with asset recovery, the decisions of temporary administrations and liquidators, and debt collection from former owners and officers of banks.

Sergiy’s practice also covers debt restructuring for corporate clients, participation in creditor negotiations, and distressed asset acquisitions and sales.
