Valeriia Gudiy, Partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, was re-elected to the European Business Association (EBA) Human Resources Committee Board for 2025.
Valeriia was elected to the Committee Board for the first time in 2024. During this year, as a member of the EBA HR Committee Board, Valeriia contributed to the development and improvement of Ukraine’s labor legislation, namely: legislative work on the implementation of EU Directives and practices in Ukraine’s labor relations, as well as advising EBA member companies on the compliance by their employees with anti-corruption and compliance policies.
In 2025, Valeriia Gudiy will continue to work on the adaptation of the Ukrainian labor legislation to the EU acquis. In particular, she will contribute to the preparation of recommendations and proposals for the draft version of the new Labor Code of Ukraine, which should promote the implementation of international standards in the labor market, and will also focus on assisting EBA member companies in complying with compliance policies.
“In 2025, Ukrainian employers will continue to prepare for the new legislative requirements that Ukraine must implement in accordance with EU Directives. Changes in legislation will affect labor relations within companies, therefore the market will need high-quality legal expertise on the implementation of new labor standards. I will continue to work with EBA member companies to promote their readiness for new challenges and help maintain the balance of interests between employers and employees,” Valeriia Gudiy said.
Established in 1999, the European Business Association provides a forum for members to discuss and solve common problems affecting business in Ukraine. This initiative was initially supported by the European Commission and has grown to become one of the largest and most influential business communities in the country.
