Oleksandr Fefelov, the Partner, Attorney and Head of Antitrust and Competition Practice, moderated the Corporate Relations Session at the VIII Annual Forum of Legal Counsels held on 7 October 2020 in Kyiv.
The experts discussed the issues of the corporate law reform, which will result in changes in the work of corporate lawyers and business processes, and told about new interesting decisions of the highest instance courts.
“Discussion of the range of problems is extremely useful, since the issue of the corporate relations’ regulation in LLCs and JSCs in a new way is especially important for both in-house lawyers and for the specialists engaged in private practice, – said Oleksandr Fefelov. – A number of well-established aspects of the corporate governance have already changed and continue changing: specific nuances have emerged and regulations have been updated”.
The session participants discussed the legal positions of the Supreme Court as to the application of the law on limited liability companies, the squeeze-out practice, the legislative changes to prevent tax abuse, the amended version of the Law on Joint Stock Companies and corporate aspects of relations’ formalization between the business partners.
At the close of the Forum, Olena Omelchenko, the Partner, Attorney and Head of International Trade Practice, and Oleksandr Fefelov took part in the awarding ceremony of 50 Leading Legal Departments of Ukraine Rating. Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm was a title partner of the ceremony.
