On April 04, 2017, Oleksandr Fefelov, attorney at law, Head of Antitrust and Competition Practice of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, has been re-elected for the position of the Head of the Legal Committee of the Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Fefelov has been chairing the Legal Committee of the Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine since 2015. Starting from 2012, Oleksandr actively participates in the Public Council’s activities aimed at successful policy making and expert work in the field of antitrust and competition law, improvement of the effective interaction of public authorities, business and society.
In 2017, in the course of chairing the Legal Committee of the Public Council Oleksandr is planning on focusing on the issues related to the regulation of penalty definition for the infringement of laws on the protection of economic competition; on summarizing the dispute resolution practice in the field of public procurements; on expert evaluation of the criteria for the admissibility of state aid; on the methodological support of the application of Articles 15-1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection against Unfair Competition”.
“Due to the enactment of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Procurements” the greatest interest and importance, regarding the protection of interests of procurement subjects, belongs to the improvement of regulatory procedures on appealing the decisions, actions or omissions of public procurement customers” – says Oleksandr Fefelov.
