Mikhail Ilyashev, Managing Partner of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm made a key report at ХІІІ Annual Legal Forum – Development of Legal Services Market in Ukraine – 2017 held by Ukrainian Bar Association on March 31, 2017, in Kyiv.
Mr. Ilyashev presented his report “Counter Revolution: What Would “Wild” Competition Bring to the Legal Market of Ukraine” within the Forum opening.
Mikhail Ilyashev outlined the last year’s issues in the development of the Ukrainian legal market. According to him, the exit of companies and the removal of 21 banks from the market, business emigration and the decline in population, a general decrease in the number of litigations in Ukraine became the major economic factors of the decrease in the demand for legal services last year.
Mikhail Ilyashev highlighted the importance of the corporate solidarity and the increase of legal profession credibility in current economic situation.
“Ukrainian legal business became one of the most advanced in the Eastern Europe – Mr. Ilyashev noted – Ukrainian law firms successfully compete with the international legal services providers in Ukraine”.
