Kateryna Solodovnyk Achieves Membership of the International Sport Lawyers Association

Kateryna Solodovnyk, Lawyer at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, has joined the International Sport Lawyers Association (ISLA), a global community which unites sports lawyers in a wide variety of legal fields.

This achievement marks an important step in Kateryna’s professional development in the field of the sports law and reflects her commitment to its continuous advancement.

As Kateryna Solodovnyk specializes on the international commercial and sports arbitration, she is involved in high-profile cases before various international arbitral institutions, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). She also has experience in resolving sports-related disputes before regulatory and disciplinary authorities within national and international sport institutions. Her particular work focus lies in the sport of fencing, where she advises on governance and regulatory matters within the International Fencing Federation (FIE), advocates for athletes and represents parties in disputes.

Kateryna was part of the legal team representing the Ukrainian Fencing Federation in high-profile proceedings before the CAS on challenging the decisions of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials to compete as neutral participants. She also acted as a national counsel in related litigations before the Swiss courts.
