Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, which represents the interests of the State Enterprise Ukrinterenergo, has managed to obtain a dismissal of the claim in Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv to recognize and execute in the territory of Ukraine the arbitral award delivered by the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in favor of the Russian state-owned company Inter RAO UES.
“The dispute is related to the supply of electric energy generated in the Russian Federation to the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk Regions in 2014-2015. The court has fully dismissed the claim lodged by Inter RAO UES and ruled that the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise will not pay UAH 190 million in favor of the Russian monopolist, – pointed out Roman Marchenko, Senior Partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm. – We were convinced of the impeccability of Ukrinterenergo’s legal position in this case, and are pleased to have a fair and impartial resolution of the dispute.”
Previously, Ilyashev & Partners successfully represented Ukrinterenergo in the Russian Arbitration Court in the process of recognition of the arbitral award delivered by the ICAC at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry against Rusneftedobycha, and succeeded in securing a court order in favor of Ukrinterenergo.
