Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm successfully assisted in the procedure for the acknowledgment of paternity by a British citizen in Ukraine and secured amendments to the child’s birth certificate.
In 2017, the birth of a child was registered in Kyiv, with the father listed based on a statement provided by the mother, a citizen of Ukraine. Following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the mother and child relocated to the United Kingdom for permanent residence, where they now live with the child’s biological father.
The biological father, a UK citizen, sought legal assistance from Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm to amend the child’s birth certificate in order to officially acknowledge his paternity.
Ilyashev & Partners’ experts provided legal support in the acknowledgment of paternity by a foreign national. In particular, they prepared the necessary applications and ensured effective communication with state authorities. As a result of the firm’s efforts, the child’s birth certificate was amended to reflect the biological father’s identity, including an updated patronymic.
The case was handled by Oleksandr Denysenko, Attorney at Law and Counsel at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm.
