The International Trade Practice team of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, headed by Partner Olena Omelchenko, which is representing the interests of OBIO LLC (TM Izovat), has initiated an anti-dumping investigation on the import of heat-insulating materials to Ukraine from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
Further to the results of consideration of the complaint filed by Ukrainian manufacturer, on 20 November 2020 the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade initiated an anti-dumping investigation into the import into Ukraine of goods originating from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, namely heat-insulating materials (slag wool, mineral silicate wool and similar types of mineral wool, excluding their mixtures), classified by UCG FEA (Ukrainian Classification of Goods of Foreign Economic Activity) code 6806 10 00 00.
Depending on the outcome of the anti-dumping investigation, the imports of heat-insulating materials to Ukraine from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation may be subject to the imposition of an anti-dumping duty. The investigation shall last for more than 12 months.
In total, nine trade investigations have been initiated regarding imports of goods to Ukraine in 2020, five of which are the result of complaints prepared by Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm.
