Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm became a legal partner of the Logistics Committee of the European Business Association.
The major directions of the Committee’s activities include representation of interests of the forwarding and logistics companies, development of a positive image of the logistics business and introduction of its best practices in Ukraine, introduction of amendments to the existing legislation in the fields of logistics and infrastructure, infrastructure development (rail transport, seaports and inland waterways), as well as deregulation of the postal sector and development of public-private partnerships.
The Committee consists of working groups for the development of river, maritime and rail infrastructure, the postal working group and the 3PL-operators’ development group.
The Logistics Committee was established in September 2013. Since then, USD 1.9 billion was invested in the Ukrainian economy and more than USD 500 million is expected. The Committee members are the representatives of the largest international and domestic logistic companies, agricultural holdings and industrial enterprises.
Established in 1999, the European Business Association (EBA), consisting of 1100 members, is one of the largest and most influential unions of businesses operating in the Ukrainian market.
