On 5 August 2019 Olena Omelchenko, the Partner and Head of International Trade Practice at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, was elected as a member of the new composition of the Public Council at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine by the open voting.
The Council consists of 35 representatives of public organizations, field-specific associations, scientists and employers.
In 2019-2020 Olena plans to focus on the reform of trade facilitation, trade protection of Ukraine and foreign economic activities, as well as the development of e-commerce.
“The membership in the Public Council provides an opportunity to make suggestions on improving the activities of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, participate in the dialogue on public affairs management and improve legal regulation in the field of trade, economic development, intellectual property, tourism”, – commented Olena Omelchenko.
Olena Omelchenko has been actively involved in the work of the Public Council since 2016.
