Oleksiy Khrystoforov participated at AgroInternational 201118.06.2011Oleksiy Khrystoforov, Head of Kharkiv office of Ilyashev and Partners, took part in the first German-Ukrainian agro-industrial forum AgroInternational 2011, held on June 18, 2011 at the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture. Oleksiy Khrystoforov said: “International business forums like AgroInternational 2011, which was held in Kharkiv, comprise an effective platform for dialogue between authorities and businesses to establish and develop business relations in such crucially important area as agriculture. I would emphasize the speech of Mr. Volker Sasse, First Secretary of the German Embassy, which was interesting to me as a lawyer and a representative of one of Ukraine’s largest law firms. We again come across the accustomed viewpoint of foreign partners on some “peculiarities” of doing business in Ukraine, which is particular include uncertainty about the quality of Ukrainian justice. Another global risk factor is inconsistency and unpredictability of government policy in the regulation of the economy”. The forum brought together more than 100 bankers, agrarians, suppliers of equipment and officials. The participants discussed financing vehicles and opportunities to attract investment. The representatives of the banks with German capital told about the possibilities to obtain loans and long-term investments for agriculture in Ukraine. Such opportunities are feasible since credit may be granted for the purchase of German equipment, although it is not essential. |
