The services of the law firm included, inter alia, the mediation with the domain name owner, preparation of and legal support during the signing of an agreement on the domain name re-delegation and transfer of exclusive property rights to a trademark, which became the basis for the initial registration of a second-level domain in the.UA public domain, as well as preparation of a package documents required to introduce relevant amendments in the State Register of Certificates of Ukraine of Marks for Goods and Services.

“We are pleased to be part of this unique project, – said Mikhail Ilyashev, the Managing Partner of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm. – We managed to negotiate a consensus with the previous owner, which made it possible for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to acquire the ownership of a ‘strategic’ domain name in the shortest time possible and launch the portal on time. Each developed country has its own official international Internet representation, and Ukraine is no exception now”.

The website was created with the aid of the British Embassy in Ukraine. Further operation and stuffing of the portal will be ensured by the Ukrainian Institute, a specialized state institution established to form a positive image of Ukraine by means of cultural diplomacy.

The project was handled by the Attorney Dmytro Nikulesko and the Lawyer Olena Sereda.
