Experience

Olena Sereda specializes in trademark and copyright registration, as well as protection of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, trade secrets, business names, geographical indications and inventions. Advises domestic and foreign companies’ owners in cases on unfair competition and counterfeit products, drafts license agreements, NDAs, agreements for copyright object creation, privacy policies, and sponsorship agreements.

Olena has successfully represented clients in disputes involving pharmaceutical companies and IT companies relating to copyrights to computer programs, invalidating trademark certificates in Ukraine and recognizing them as well-known trademarks, and protecting intellectual property rights on the Internet, including domain names and anti-piracy measures. Her area of expertise includes mediation and representation of clients’ interests in courts, law enforcement agencies, the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations, and other government bodies.
