On December 12, 2014 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a round table discussion themed “Transparency and predictability of the legislative process – Requests of the Business” with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ms. A. Syroid, people’s deputies and members of the ACC.
During the roundtable Olena Omelchenko took part in the discussion devoted to competent and understandable system of legislation as a guarantee of investment attractiveness of Ukraine. In particular, Olena drew attention of the participants towards the need to improve the quality of the expert review of Ukrainian legislation concerning compliance with the EU acquis and put forward a proposal to strengthen control over prevention of upholding the laws of Ukraine not being in compliance with regulations and directives of the European Union to which EU Association Agreement refers to.
