Vadym Kizlenko, Counsel, Attorney at Law and Insolvency Receiver at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, delivered a speech on “New Opportunities of Insolvency Receivers” at the IV Restructuring and Bankruptcy Forum held on 17 April 2019 in Kyiv.
In his speech Vadym Kizlenko analyzed the novelties related to the bankruptcy of individuals envisaged by the Code of Bankruptcy Procedures of Ukraine, which will come into force by the end of 2019. “The bankruptcy of legal entities and individuals will now take place with an obligatory participation of the insolvency receiver, whose professionalism and qualification will directly determine the outcome of the bankruptcy procedure for the creditor, debtor and other parties to the case”, – said Vadym Kizlenko.
The session participants discussed the new institution of bankruptcy of individuals, the impact of bad debts and bankruptcy on the banking sector and the economy of Ukraine in general, the difficulties arising in the process of financial restructuring of enterprises, as well as insolvency issues in the public sector of economy.
IV Restructuring and Bankruptcy Forum is a specialized annual event organized for the lawyers, insolvency receivers and government officials to discuss novelties and challenges in the restructuring and bankruptcy field.
