Mikhail Ilyashev took part in roundtable dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the draft Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine based on the expert opinion of the Council of Europe, which was held on January 23, 2012 in the conference hall of President Hotel.
The roundtable was also attended by the management of the Office of the Council of Europe in Kyiv, the representatives of the Department of Justice and Legal Cooperation of the Council of Europe’s Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law, the experts of the Council of Europe who were engaged in the preparation of expert opinion, the representatives of other international organizations, legislative, executive and judiciary authorities of Ukraine, in particular, the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the High Specialized Court of Ukraine for Consideration of Civil and Criminal Cases, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and others.
The event was organized by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Presidential Administration of Ukraine within the joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Strengthening the fight against abuse and impunity.”
