Roman Marchenko Joins ICC’s Task Force on Emergency Arbitrator Proceedings

ICC-logoRoman Marchenko, Senior Partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, was selected as a member of Emergency Arbitrator Proceedings Task Force of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Commission on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Roman Marchenko is the only Task Force member from Ukraine.

International Emergency Arbitrator Proceedings Task Force was created in the end of 2014 on suggestion of the Chair of the Steering Committee of the Commission on Arbitration and ADR. The Task Force’s focus is to study the experience to date under the ICC emergency arbitrator provisions, as well as the experience of other institutions offering emergency arbitrator proceedings, and to analyze all aspects, including procedural and substantive issues that may arise and examine any trends that may emerge in emergency arbitrator proceedings.

Roman Marchenko will take part in the first meeting of the Task Force, which will take place in Paris on late September 2015 at the ICC Headquarters. The Task Force will prepare a report for use by parties, counsel or arbitrators who are involved in emergency arbitrator proceedings.

To recall, in 2014 Roman Marchenko was selected as a member of ICC’s Financial Institutions and International Arbitration Task Force. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is an independent non-profit business organization representing the largest international businesses, associations and companies from over 140 countries around the world. ICC aims to promote the development of international trade and address the latest business issues.
