Leonid Gilevich, a lawyer of Ilyashev & Partners’ Employment Practice, delivered a speech at the VI Ukrainian conference “HR-Brand Ukraine 2017 Award” which took place on December 5th, 2017 in Kyiv.
“The main aspect of the work of HR companies now is to apply a spend-to-save approach” – as Leonid pointed out. He also expressed thee principal trends of the departing year:
– audit of the legal department (allowing to create a functional structural unit which, through its effective work, contributes to saving money etc.);
– employers’ commitment to the most detailed planning of labor relations at the stage of their formation by using individually drafted employment agreements (which stipulate various aspects of labor relations, as well as the aspects of their possible termination);
– employers’ consultations with lawyers for the most detailed planning of employment termination to avoid making mistakes during the dismissal process and bearing further costs pertaining to remediation of such mistakes (including expenses associated with labor disputes).
In his speech Leonid Gilevich provided recommendations to the employers on how to keep track of using social networks by their employees (during working hours as well) and, in particular, on how to develop internal regulations intended to control such matters.
“HR-Brand Ukraine 2017 Award” is a unique annual contest organized among the specialists of HR-sphere, which allows tracing hot-button tendencies and new effective ideas in recruiting. The judging panel evaluates what effective HR-instruments have been used by the nominated companies in the reporting year. During the six-year period of the project’s history more than 180 companies have taken part in it having presented more than 220 business cases. At the Ukrainian Conference HeadHunter Ukraine announced the results of the annual study “The Best Ukrainian Employers 2017” and the winners of “HR-Brand Ukraine 2017 Award”.
