On the occasion of the International Children’s Day Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm donated 70 thousand hryvnias for organizing the Fourth All-Ukrainian Youth Street Football Championship – Caritas Cup, which was held on 01 June 2019 in Kyiv with the support of the Ukrainian Football Association and the Charitable Foundation Development of Football of Ukraine.
The teams from Khmelnytsky, Dnipro, Brody, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kamensky, Kramatorsk and Kyiv competed for the Cup. The pauses between the games were filled with an entertainment program for children and spectators.
Ilyashev & Partners has been sponsoring Caritas Cup since 2017. The street football tournament is a volunteer project organized by the employees of the charitable foundation Caritas Ukraine who work with children and youth. The idea of Caritas Cup is a classic idea of street football as it is perceived in the world: a game for everyone, regardless of the players’ level of training, their sex or social status. The teams comprise both boys and girls most of whom are from the families experiencing hard living conditions. Football training for them is a way to study how to set goals, strengthen their will power, communicate with one another and become stronger.
