Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm was a partner of Forum “Ukraine – USA: Export & Promotion”, organized on September 22, 2015 by the American Chamber of Commerce with the support of UUIE, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
Dmytro Shemelin, lawyer at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, made a report during a panel discussion devoted to legal regulation of exports to the USA. Dmytro shared expert opinion on the US anti-dumping duties and barriers in promotion of Ukrainian exports.
In addition to the legal aspects of Ukrainian exports to the USA the following issues were discussed at the event: formation of the effective system of state support and stimulation of Ukrainian exports to the US market, including creation of powerful distribution centers of Ukrainian goods involving US investment, and methods of promotion of the brand “Made in Ukraine” in the United States of America.
The forum was attended by Geoffrey R. Pyatt, the United States Ambassador to Ukraine, Oleksiy Pavlenko, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Aivaras Abromavičius, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, and other government officials involved in public policy issues on export promotion, as well as representatives of the business sector.
